Official Rules for the Mother’s Day Starts Here Sweepstakes
NO PURCHASE OR DONATION NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR DONATION WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
1. Sponsor
The Mother’s Day Starts Here Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is sponsored by Baby Life Begins, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization mailing address located 6715 NE 63rd ST STE 103, #190, Vancouver, WA 98661 (“Sponsor”).
2. Eligibility
The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry. Employees, officers, directors, contractors, and volunteers of Baby Life Begins, their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children), and persons living in the same household are not eligible to participate. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.
3. Sweepstakes Period
The Sweepstakes begins on May 8th, 2025, at 12:00 AM Mountain Time (“MT”) and ends on May 12, 2025, at 11:59 PM MT (the “Sweepstakes Period”). All entries must be received by the end of the Sweepstakes Period to be eligible.
4. How to Enter
There are two ways to enter the Sweepstakes, and no purchase, donation, or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win. Limit up to 10 entries per person following contest rules on the website, regardless of entry method.
a. Social Media Entry
During the Sweepstakes Period, visit the Sponsor’s official social media pages on Facebook (@BabyLifeBegins), Instagram (@BabyLifeBegins), or YouTube (@BabyLifeBegins) and locate the Sweepstakes post containing the hashtag #Mother’sDayStartsHere.
b. Alternative Method of Entry (AMOE)
To enter without using social media, you may use one of the following free methods:
Mail-In Entry: Send a postcard with your full name, mailing address, email address, and phone number to: Baby Life Begins, Mothers Day Starts Here Sweepstakes, 6715 NE 63rd ST STE 103, #190, Vancouver, WA 98661. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by May 13, 2025, and received by May 27, 2025, to be eligible.
Online Entry: Visit www.mothersdaystartshere.com and complete the free online entry form with your name, email address, and mailing address.
All entries, whether via social media or AMOE, have an equal chance of winning. By entering, you agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding.
5. Prize
One (1) grand prize winner will receive a $100 gift card to Amazon.com (the “Prize”). One (book), and a Mother's Day hat.
The Prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and non-redeemable for cash, except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. The approximate retail value (ARV) of the Prize is $100. $20 for the book and $15 for the hat. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the Prize becomes unavailable.
6. Winner Selection and Notification
On or about May 22nd, 2025, the winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. The drawing will be conducted by the Sponsor or its designated representative, whose decisions are final. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
The potential winner will be announced and need to reach out to Baby Life Begins within five (5) business days of the drawing. To claim the Prize, the potential winner must respond within seven (7) days of notification. If not heard from, Sponsor may select an alternate winner in a random drawing from the remaining eligible entries.
7. Taxes
The winner is solely responsible for any and all federal, state, and local taxes associated with the receipt or use of the Prize. The Prize may be reported as taxable income to the IRS. If the total value of prizes received from the Sponsor in 2025 exceeds $600, the winner will receive an IRS Form 1099-MISC. Winners are advised to consult a tax professional regarding the tax implications of the Prize.
8. Publicity
Except where prohibited by law, by accepting the Prize, the winner grants the Sponsor the right to use their name, likeness, voice, and entry for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further compensation.
9. General Conditions
The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes. In such an event, the Sponsor may award the Prize in a random drawing from all eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment.
The Sponsor is not responsible for: (a) lost, late, misdirected, damaged, or incomplete entries; (b) errors or malfunctions in the operation of any equipment or software; (c) unauthorized human intervention; or (d) any injury or damage to persons or property related to participation in the Sweepstakes.
10. Social Media Platform Disclaimer
This Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or any other social media platform. By entering, participants release Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and agents from any and all liability related to the Sweepstakes. Participants are providing information to the Sponsor and not to the social media platforms.
11. Privacy
Personal information collected from entrants will be used by the Sponsor solely for the purpose of administering the Sweepstakes and fulfilling the Prize, unless the entrant opts in to receive future communications from the Sponsor. 12. Winner List
To request the name of the winner, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Baby Life Begins, Mothers Day Starts Here Sweepstakes Winner List, 6715 NE 63rd ST STE 103, #190, Vancouver, WA 98661. Requests must be received by July 31, 2025.
13. Governing Law
The Sweepstakes and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under or related to the Sweepstakes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
14. Sponsor’s Mission
The Sweepstakes is designed to raise awareness about when Mother’s Day truly starts, in alignment with Baby Life Begins’ mission to educate and support the beginning of life. By participating, you help promote this important cause.
